Another ramshackle live podcast! Or rather it was. If you're reading this now then it's all over and the dust has settled. Actually, apart from the live part it was quite relaxing, with a couple of slowcore tracks making up the playlist.
It's been a busy old week or so gig-wise recently, even if I did miss Mercury Rev this evening because I didn't get my tickets in time. On Tuesday I embarked on the always fun trip through to Glasgow on the train, this time to see Low at the Classic Grand. The gig was brilliant, although Scotrail took their time getting there. In the end I arrived during the last song of the support act, and only about 10 minutes before Low came on stage. The gig was brilliant though. And I couldn't not play a Low track on the show. There's also some great shoegazey noise from Procession, a track from Edinburgh's Birdhead and lots of other stuff too.
This week's Hipstamatic is from a gig a week or so ago. One I didn't mention in last week's "more music, less chat" show. It's Johnny "Huddersfield" Helm coming out from behind the drums to sing at The Wave Pictures.
